Apple has officially launched on Monday, March 31, 2025, its Apple Intelligence features in India

Apple has officially launched on Monday (March 31, 2025) its Apple Intelligence features in India, marking a new chapter for users in the region. This rollout, powered by the release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4, introduces a suite of tools designed to enhance productivity and creativity, while maintaining Apple’s user privacy committment. The update brings Apple Intelligence to more languages, including localised English for India and Singapore, alongside other popular languages such as French, German, Spanish, and Chinese.

A key highlight of the new features is the inclusion of advanced Writing Tools. Users can now easily rewrite, proofread, and summarise text across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Whether drafting emails, creating presentations, or simply taking notes, Apple Intelligence provides users with multiple options to refine their writing. The “Describe Your Change” feature offers even greater flexibility, allowing users to customise their writing style and tone for various purposes, whether it’s for a professional report or a casual conversation.

The Photos app also gets smarter, with new capabilities designed to improve photo organization and editing. The “Clean Up” tool helps users remove distracting objects from images, while the updated “Memories” feature allows for automatic creation of personalized movies based on photos and videos, driven by intelligent image analysis.

Visual creativity is further expanded with the “Image Playground,” which enables users to design custom images and even create personalised emojis called “Genmoji.” These features integrate seamlessly with apps like Messages and Freeform, making it easier to share unique, customised content.

One of the most notable aspects of Apple Intelligence is its commitment to privacy. All models that power Apple Intelligence run on-device, ensuring that personal data remains secure. For more complex requests, Apple uses Private Cloud Compute, which extends privacy to the cloud while preserving security. With Apple Silicon servers, the company provides an additional layer of transparency, allowing independent experts to verify that no data is stored or exposed. This privacy-first approach has set a new standard in the AI industry, enabling users to enjoy advanced capabilities without compromising their personal information.

As part of this expanded rollout, users in India can also take advantage of the “Visual Intelligence” feature, which allows for real-time object recognition through the camera. Whether identifying plants, translating text, or creating events from flyers, users can simply point their camera at the object, and Apple Intelligence will provide relevant information. This tool works in tandem with other features like Smart Reply and Priority Notifications, ensuring users remain focused on important tasks without being overwhelmed by notifications.
