Apple has launched its event planning app ‘Apple Invites’ that allows users to send out customised invites, confirm guest lists, share playlists, and create shared photo albums.

Apple Invites pulls together a range of features from across Apple’s app ecosystem and its AI features package, Apple Intelligence, in order to help users plan out the event and assist guests who need to travel to the location and keep track of the weather.

“Apple today introduced Apple Invites, a new app for iPhone that helps users create custom invitations to gather friends and family for any occasion. With Apple Invites, users can create and easily share invitations, RSVP, contribute to Shared Albums, and engage with Apple Music playlists,” said Apple in a blog post on February 4.

The app is meant for iCloud+ subscribers to create invitations. However, even users without Apple devices or iCloud+ can RSVP to events. Those without iCloud can still send out invitations by using third-party event planning or invitation apps.

“With Apple Invites, an event comes to life from the moment the invitation is created, and users can share lasting memories even after they get together. Apple Invites brings together capabilities our users already know and love across iPhone, iCloud, and Apple Music, making it easy to plan special events,” said Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud.

Apple Invites is available as a free download through the App Store. It works across iPhone models running iOS 18 or later.
