Google has officially taken the wraps off its new hardware lineup, introducing four new Pixel devices designed to push the boundaries of AI integration and user experience. The much-anticipated Pixel 10 series, which includes the standard Pixel 10, the Pixel 10 Pro, the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the new Pixel 10 Pro Fold, marks a significant step forward for the brand. Starting at a competitive price of Rs 79,999, the new smartphones are accompanied by a fresh suite of accessories, including the Pixel Watch 4 and updated Pixel Buds, reinforcing Google’s commitment to a more interconnected ecosystem. Here is a brief of features for the entire line-up launched today.

Design and Features

The design of the Pixel 10 series stays true to the iconic aesthetic with the distinctive horizontal camera bar. However, the design has been refined for a sleeker look and a more comfortable feel in hand. The Pro models feature a new matte glass back and polished aluminum sides, while the standard Pixel 10 may feature a matte aluminum frame. All models are built to be durable, with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the displays and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Key features across the lineup include brighter displays with higher peak brightness, and support for the new Qi2 wireless charging standard, which Google calls “Pixelsnap” charging.

Software

Software is a core strength of the Pixel series. The Pixel 10 phones launch with Android 16 and are guaranteed to receive seven years of OS and security updates. This commitment ensures a long lifespan and continuous access to the latest features. The Tensor G5 chipset is a major driver of the software experience, offering improved efficiency and performance for on-device AI. New AI-powered features, such as Magic Cue for personalized recommendations and Camera Coach for real-time photography tips, are deeply integrated into the system, making the phone feel more intuitive and helpful in daily use.

Camera

The camera system sees significant improvements, particularly on the base Pixel 10 model. For the first time, the standard Pixel 10 gets a triple-camera setup, including a telephoto lens, a feature previously exclusive to the Pro models. This adds versatility to the camera experience. The Pro models retain their powerful camera hardware from the previous generation, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultrawide with Macro Focus, and a 48MP 5x telephoto lens. The new Tensor G5’s custom Imaging Signal Processor (ISP) and advanced computational photography algorithms further enhance photo and video quality, delivering crisp, detailed images and vibrant colors.
