Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 launched in India

Chinese smartphone maker Tecno on Friday (December 6, 2024) launched Phantom V2 series smartphones featuring Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 in India. Priced aggressively than the competitors like Galaxy Z series, Motorola Razr series and Google’s Fold, the new Phantom V2 series banks upon the new entrants into the foldable space.

The Tecno Phantom V2 series also brings gen AI features to make them more productive like like image cutout and circle to search.

The Phantom V Fold 2 uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection and uses aerospace-grade hinges that claim to last over 400,000 times. The Phantom V Flip 2 has aerospace-grade hinge and Corning Gorilla Glass 8.

The Phantom V Fold 2 has a 7.85 inch main screen and a 6.42 inch cover display. Whereas, the Phantom V Flip 2 sports a 6.9 inch main display and 3.64 inch cover screen.

The Phantom V Fold 2 ships with a 5,750 mAh battery while the V Flip 2 comes with a 4,720 mAh battery and a 70 W fast charging.

Phantom V Fold 2 runs on MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. It operates on Android 14 OS based on HiOS UI. The V Flip 2 uses MediaTek Dimensity 8020 with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB. 

Phantom V Fold 2 has triple 50 MP rear camera and a 32 MP front camera. The V Flip 2 sports dual 50 MP lenses at back and a 32 MP selfie camera.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 is priced at ₹79,999, while the Phantom V Flip 2 sells at ₹34,999 for a limited period. Both devices will be available starting December 13 on Amazon.
